Irrigation Engineer
To work on site under the guidance and direction of the Irrigation Manager.
Carrick Sports Construction are the UK’s leading experts in sports surface construction, irrigation and renovation. Carrick also operates in urban development’s providing build solutions for sustainable drainage, blue/green roofs and rain gardens.
We are currently looking for an Irrigation Engineer to join our team on various projects in Scotland and across the UK.
You will have experience of the irrigation industry and a knowledge of irrigation systems, control systems and pump stations.
Job Role & Responsibilities:
- To operate specialist machinery safely and efficiently to assist in irrigation activities.
- Hand dig where required.
- Problem solving when issues arise with systems.
- Ensure Health & Safety compliance at all times.
- Work closely with our construction team on certain projects.
Candidates will need:
- A full UK Driving Licence would be ideal but not essential.
- Be confident and eager to learn as training will be provided.
- Be motivated and able to work as part of a team.
- Be able to use your initiative under the guidance of the Irrigation Manager.
- Be prepared to travel to different UK locations and stay away from home when required.
- Be organised, pay attention to detail and work well under pressure.
- Maintain a tidy and safe working environment for all.
Ideal applicants:
- Previous experience working within the irrigation industry.
- Experience and qualifications in the use of excavators, dumpers and small plant.
Pay: Rate subject to experience
Schedule:
- Day shift – 7am until 4pm
- Overtime – Will be required
